بَابُ مَنْ أَهْدَى إِلَى صَاحِبِهِ وَتَحَرَّى بَعْضَ نِسَائِهِ دُونَ بَعْضٍ:
باب من أهدى إلى صاحبه وتحرى بعض نسائه دون بعض:
(8) Chapter. Whosoever gave a gift to his friend and chose (the time) when he was at the home of some of his wives and did not give it to him, while he was in the homes of his other wives.

بَابُ مَا لاَ يُرَدُّ مِنَ الْهَدِيَّةِ:
باب ما لا يرد من الهدية:
(9) Chapter. What sort of presents (gift) should not be rejected.

بَابُ مَنْ رَأَى الْهِبَةَ الْغَائِبَةَ جَائِزَةً:
باب من رأى الهبة الغائبة جائزة:
(10) Chapter. Whoever thinks that it is permissibe to give as a gift, something not present.

(13) Chapter. The witnesses for Al-Hibah (the gifts).

بَابُ هِبَةِ الرَّجُلِ لاِمْرَأَتِهِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ لِزَوْجِهَا:
باب هبة الرجل لامرأته والمرأة لزوجها:
(14) Chapter. Giving gifts by a husband to his wife, and by a wife to her husband.

بَابُ هِبَةِ الْمَرْأَةِ لِغَيْرِ زَوْجِهَا:
باب هبة المرأة لغير زوجها:
(15) Chapter. It is permissible for a women to giving gifts to somebody other than her husband.

بَابُ بِمَنْ يُبْدَأُ بِالْهَدِيَّةِ:
باب بمن يبدأ بالهدية:
(16) Chapter. Who is to be given the gift first?

بَابُ مَنْ لَمْ يَقْبَلِ الْهَدِيَّةَ لِعِلَّةٍ:
باب من لم يقبل الهدية لعلة:
(17) Chapter. Whoever refused to accept a present for a certain reason.

بَابُ إِذَا وَهَبَ هِبَةً أَوْ وَعَدَ ثُمَّ مَاتَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَصِلَ إِلَيْهِ:
باب إذا وهب هبة أو وعد ثم مات قبل أن تصل إليه:
(18) Chapter. If somebody gives somebody else a present, or promises to give him a present, and one of them dies before the gift reaches the other person.

بَابُ كَيْفَ يُقْبَضُ الْعَبْدُ وَالْمَتَاعُ:
باب كيف يقبض العبد والمتاع:
(19) Chapter. How to take over the slave and property (given as gift)?

بَابُ إِذَا وَهَبَ هِبَةً فَقَبَضَهَا الآخَرُ، وَلَمْ يَقُلْ قَبِلْتُ:
باب إذا وهب هبة فقبضها الآخر، ولم يقل قبلت:
(20) Chapter. When someone gives something (as a gift) to another person and the receiver takes it into his possession without saying, "I have accepted it."

بَابُ إِذَا وَهَبَ دَيْنًا عَلَى رَجُلٍ:
باب إذا وهب دينا على رجل:
(21) Chapter. If a creditor gives the debt, due to him, as a gift.

بَابُ هِبَةِ الْوَاحِدِ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ:
باب هبة الواحد للجماعة:
(22) Chapter. The giving of a gift by one person to a group.

بَابُ الْهِبَةِ الْمَقْبُوضَةِ وَغَيْرِ الْمَقْبُوضَةِ، وَالْمَقْسُومَةِ وَغَيْرِ الْمَقْسُومَةِ:
باب الهبة المقبوضة وغير المقبوضة، والمقسومة وغير المقسومة:
(23) Chapter. The received and unreceived gifts, and the divided and undivided gifts.

بَابُ إِذَا وَهَبَ جَمَاعَةٌ لِقَوْمٍ:
باب إذا وهب جماعة لقوم:
(24) Chapter. If a group of persons gives a gift to some people.
24

بَابُ مَنْ أُهْدِيَ لَهُ هَدِيَّةٌ وَعِنْدَهُ جُلَسَاؤُهُ فَهْوَ أَحَقُّ:
باب من أهدي له هدية وعنده جلساؤه فهو أحق:
(25) Chapter. Whosoever is given a gift while some people are sitting with him, he only has the right to have it.

بَابُ إِذَا وَهَبَ بَعِيرًا لِرَجُلٍ وَهْوَ رَاكِبُهُ، فَهُوَ جَائِزٌ:
باب إذا وهب بعيرا لرجل وهو راكبه، فهو جائز:
(26) Chapter. If someone gives a camel as a gift to a man riding it, then the deed is valid.

بَابُ هَدِيَّةِ مَا يُكْرَهُ لُبْسُهَا:
باب هدية ما يكره لبسها:
(27) Chapter. The presenting of a gift of clothes, wearing of which is disliked.

بَابُ قَبُولِ الْهَدِيَّةِ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ:
باب قبول الهدية من المشركين:
(28) Chapter. The acceptance of presents from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, pagans).

(29) Chapter. Giving presents to AI-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, pagans).

بَابُ لاَ يَحِلُّ لأَحَدٍ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ فِي هِبَتِهِ وَصَدَقَتِهِ:
باب لا يحل لأحد أن يرجع فى هبته وصدقته:
(30) Chapter. It is not legal for anyone to take back his presents or Sadaqa (things given in charity).

بَابُ مَا قِيلَ فِي الْعُمْرَى وَالرُّقْبَى:
باب ما قيل فى العمرى والرقبى:
(32) Chapter. What is said about the Umra and Ruqba.

بَابُ مَنِ اسْتَعَارَ مِنَ النَّاسِ الْفَرَسَ:
باب من استعار من الناس الفرس:
(33) Chapter. Borrowing a horse from some people.

بَابُ الاِسْتِعَارَةِ لِلْعَرُوسِ عِنْدَ الْبِنَاءِ:
باب الاستعارة للعروس عند البناء:
(34) Chapter. To borrow something for the bride at the time of her wedding.

بَابُ فَضْلِ الْمَنِيحَةِ:
باب فضل المنيحة:
(35) Chapter. The superiority of the Maniha, i.e., a milch she-camel or a sheep lent to somebody to use its milk and return it to its owner afterwards.

بَابُ إِذَا قَالَ أَخْدَمْتُكَ هَذِهِ الْجَارِيَةَ عَلَى مَا يَتَعَارَفُ النَّاسُ. فَهْوَ جَائِزٌ:
باب إذا قال أخدمتك هذه الجارية على ما يتعارف الناس. فهو جائز:
(36) Chapter. It is permissible if somebody says, “I give this slave-girl to you for your service according to the prevalent convention known amongst the people."

بَابُ إِذَا حَمَلَ رَجُلٌ عَلَى فَرَسٍ فَهْوَ كَالْعُمْرَى وَالصَّدَقَةِ:
باب إذا حمل رجل على فرس فهو كالعمرى والصدقة:
(37) Chapter. If somebody gives another person a horse (as a gift) then the rule is the same as that concerning the Umra or Sadaqa (i.e., the giver has no right to claim restitution).
